Air pollution has become one of the most dangerous threat to the living. Many countries are facing the same problem and trying to get some innovative ideas to solve this problem for the good of the people.
China is one of among those countries where air pollution is a huge problem. To fight this air pollution China is building Asia’s first vertical forest called the “Nanjing vertical forest.” This vertical forest is expected to produce 60 kg of oxygen every day which will help to reduce the air pollution in china.
The “Nanjing vertical forest” will consume 25 tons of carbon dioxide each day and will produce 60 kg of pure each day.
The vertical forest will be made by Growing 3600 plants. Which will include 1100 flourishing trees and about 2500 cascading shrubs. The plants will cover total area of 6000 square meters of the building.
The Nanjing Vertical Forests will be built on each of the two Nanjing towers. the Towers are expected to be 200 meters and 108 meters high.
The taller tower will contain offices, a green architecture school, a museum as well as a roof top club and the smaller tower will contain the Hyatt hotel which is expected to have 247 rooms and a rooftop swimming pool. Both the towers will be surrounded by balconies which help inhabitants to get close to the plants and flowers. Each occupant will have their own mini-garden (balcony) to enjoy. This will help to regenerate biodiversity in the area.
The concept of these forest has been introduces by the Italian architect Stefano Boeri. Boeri make reality of his concept in Milan, Italy Where he designed two towers known as the “Bosco vertical”.
Boeri has designed Nanjing towers in china and will see the project through. The china’s vertical forest concept is first of its kind in the entire Asia.
The Nanjing towers are expected to be completed in 2018. The vertical forest will offer a magnificent view from its balconies.
